Creating a Tropical Exhibit for Martinique Tourism
For this installation, we partnered with the Martinique Tourism Authority to design a vibrant exhibit environment at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.
The goal was to bring the lush atmosphere of the Caribbean island directly into the convention hall. The brand identity of Martinique is deeply tied to its vibrant tropical landscape, so greenery and florals became the natural foundation of the exhibit design.
Defining the Exhibit with Tropical Palms
The first step in shaping the environment was defining the footprint of the exhibit space.
Using palm tree rentals, we flanked each corner of the booth with tall tropical palms. This simple but effective technique immediately established the booth as a tropical destination within the exhibit hall.
Corner plant placement is a widely used strategy in trade show plant rentals and exhibit greenery décor, helping create architectural structure while making the exhibit visually stand apart from neighboring displays.
Creating a Lush Island Atmosphere
To reinforce the tropical narrative, we layered additional foliage elements throughout the space.
Lush fern arrangements were positioned along the exhibit counters, adding softness and texture while reinforcing the brand’s message of abundant island greenery.
Ferns are frequently used in event foliage rentals and tropical plant décor installations because they provide fullness and visual richness without overwhelming the design.
Together with the palms, these elements helped create the feeling of a lush island landscape within the exhibit space.
Designing an Engaging Photo Opportunity
In today’s experiential events, photo moments are an essential part of exhibit design.
To create an interactive experience for attendees, we installed a faux greenery step-and-repeat backdrop, giving guests a vibrant location to capture photos while engaging with the brand.
Greenery walls and botanical backdrops are commonly used in brand activation greenery design and trade show exhibits, encouraging social sharing and deeper engagement with attendees.
Finishing with Vibrant Tropical Florals
To complete the environment, we incorporated vibrant tropical florals inspired by the natural beauty of Martinique.
These floral accents added pops of color that contrasted beautifully with the deep greens of the foliage. The result was a booth that felt bright, energetic, and unmistakably Caribbean.
The layered combination of live foliage, floral styling, and exhibit décor created a design that stood out among the many exhibitors at the convention.
