Temporary Tropics was founded 20 years ago, with the principal service being live foliage rentals by Mark Grassini and Brian Brittney.
Together, Mark + Brian built a business founded on exceptional Client Services + Creativity at their helm.
In 2024, Joseph Michel, a Master Botanist, teamed up with Mark + Brian to understand their business as Mark + Brian prepared for retirement. In 2025, industry professional Lili Susana, DMCP, CIS, MIB, a former Meeting + Event Planner, joined Joseph in purchasing Temporary Tropics. With deep industry connections and a literal rolodex of resources, Temporary Tropics functions beyond a vendor partner - we are your business affiliate. Being available within our scope of services and introducing you to the right Teams when needed.
Together, Joseph + Lili have expanded Temporary Topics into a studio dedicated to biophilic design + elevated experiences.
What is included in Temporary Tropic’s live foliage rentals?
We review your vision and needs, then curate proposal options for your review. Once final selections are made, we move to confirming the contract. The live foliage is then delivered as agreed upon. Plants are then prepped, manicured, leaf-shined and loaded to make their way to you.
We set the premium plant rentals as indicated by your on-site team - ensuring to load-in to professional standards. Part of the delivery service is on-site styling wherein we top the plant with the appropriate finishes for a polished + professional set style.
The live foliage package is then picked up at the agreed-upon date and time.
Our premium plant rentals can be contracted with or without planters. We are ideal for corporate + social events, conventions, conferences and meetings as well as a solution for interior landscaping needs.

Temporary Tropics takes great pride in delivering, setting, and on-site styling of our services + products. We prep + manicure all live foliage + floral prior to arrival, making for an efficient and smooth load-in, and equally for the load-out.
Prior to departing the installation, we conduct a final walkthrough to ensure the installation is to your satisfaction.
A noticeable difference in our service is that we are NOT drop + go, on-site setting and styling is a Gold Standard within our services that we do not compromise on.
