As the company evolved, so did its vision.

In 2024, Joseph Michel—a master botanist with a deep understanding of plant life, sustainability, and biological systems—began working alongside Mark and Brian, immersing himself in the business as they prepared for retirement. In 2025, Lili Susana, DMCP, CIS, MIB, an industry professional and former meeting and event planner, joined Joseph in acquiring Temporary Tropics—marking the beginning of a new chapter.

Together, Joseph and Lili expanded Temporary Tropics beyond its original foundation, transforming it into a biophilic design and elevated experiences studio—where nature is curated, and experiences are elevated.

Today, Temporary Tropics offers an ever-expanding collection of live foliage and florals, planter programs, event décor, entertainment, and plant-based and outdoor experiences—serving corporate and social events, media and film productions, brand activations, and real estate staging across Florida.

Lili Susana brings a lifelong connection to event management—one that began in childhood and evolved into a career rooted in precision, intuition, and a deep understanding of guest experience. As a former meeting planner, she lives and breathes the rhythm of events, guiding each project with clarity, structure, and an innate sense of flow.

Joseph Michel leads the botanical direction with mastery and intention. His expertise informs every layer of the plant experience—from sourcing and cultivation to maintenance, transport, and installation—ensuring that each element is not only visually impactful, but sustainable and designed to thrive.
