Bringing Havana to Life
The reception embraced a warm, nostalgic Havana-inspired theme.
The creative direction was beautifully unique:
Imagine spending the evening in your Cuban grandmother's home—comfortable, collected over decades, filled with character, color, and conversation.
Rather than designing a ballroom filled with identical centerpieces, we leaned into the charm of eclectic Cuban interiors.
The tables featured:
A mix of colored glass vases
Layered textures
Organic styling
Premium white floral blooms
A relaxed yet sophisticated aesthetic
The result felt curated instead of manufactured—inviting guests into a space that celebrated warmth, hospitality, and timeless Cuban design.
Creating More Presence Without Increasing the Budget
One of the challenges with standard ballroom dining rounds is scale.
A modest centerpiece can sometimes feel visually "lost" on a large table.
Instead of recommending significantly larger floral arrangements—which would have increased costs considerably—we designed a solution that created the appearance of a much larger centerpiece while staying within budget.
Each table featured:
A collection of premium white floral bud vases
Two live palms positioned alongside the floral grouping
The palms naturally expanded the visual footprint of each centerpiece.
Without adding dozens of additional flowers, the arrangement suddenly occupied much more of the table, creating balance, depth, and presence.
It's one of our favorite examples of designing smarter rather than simply spending more.
Why We Chose White Florals
While the vases celebrated Havana's colorful personality, we intentionally selected premium white flowers for the blooms themselves.
White florals provide several advantages:
They feel timeless and elegant.
They balance colorful vessels without overwhelming them.
They photograph beautifully.
They complement virtually every linen, tabletop, and ballroom color palette.
They allow the overall design to remain sophisticated while still embracing playful elements.
The colorful glass became the personality.

Because palms naturally add height, width, and movement, they create dimension that flowers alone often cannot achieve within the same budget.
