CASE STUDY: CASE OF DIRECTIONAL PALMS
Temporary Tropics was looped into a very special project where our Clients wanted to create a flow of palms as directional indicators in a large South Florida stadium, which has tall ceilings with ample space.
The challenge here was to create flow without breaking the budget - we could not use too many plants as it would drive the budget up and the plants needed to be grand enough to take up space while creating a path.
Temporary Tropics was trusted with the task to deliver without skipping a beat - and we did!
We utilized Areca Palms which are bushy palms with a strong presence for the perimeter plants, then we raised them in tall Lechuza Designer Planters that have hidden risers in them - allowing us to add an average of 15” to the overall height of each palm.
This event had several decor elements that needed to be highlighted as well - thus we utilized our palms with presence to showcase decor elements - being our Adi Palms. Given this was a formal event in December, we added twinkle lights to the stems of the Adi palms.
The stadium has many white lines, thus we opted for the tall planters in white to tie a cohesive look together.
